I have 20-something pairs of shoes and I keep some of them in rows against a wall next to some shelves in my room. It got all moist up there during the winter so some mold grew on the window. Tell me why, out of all those shoes, the only ones that got moldy were the macbeths. Literally the most expensive pair.
